Petalworks - petal scans

These scans form part of a documented process for developing petals as materials that can be used for creating artworks. The outcomes of each investigation become an organic artwork. The Epson Scanner 12000xl was used to scan each of these at 1600dpi allowing a remarkable microscopic strength of detail. Where possible both sides have been captured and where the petals have reached ultimate transparency a black background highlights their make up further.
