Petalworks - petal scans

These scans form part of a documented process for developing petals as materials that can be used for creating artworks. The outcomes of each investigation become an organic artwork. The scanning bed itself allows image capture that can be akin to the strength of a microscope zooming in, where the detail that is captured can be remarkable. Where possible both sides have been scanned and where the petals have reached ultimate transparently a black background highlights their make up further.
